Discovery:

Van Con’s design team will ask you questions about your family’s activities and routines. The design team will listen carefully to your answers and help you prioritize your needs and desires. Your input is vital during this development stage.

Have you thought about:

• How the grade of the lot will affect the design?
• Where is the best location to place the house on the lot?
• How big you want your home to be?
• How many bedrooms do you need?
• Do you have a layout in mind?
• Do you want a single-level or a multi-level home?
• What is your budget?

The answers to questions such as these, along with any pictures or sample designs you may have collected, will help us understand what you want in your new custom home. Your input will help us reach your desired balance between design and budget.

Design:

Upon receipt of your Design Deposit, Van Con’s design team will prepare preliminary drawings and cost estimates during this stage.

• The design team will hold a meeting with you to make sure we have accurately translated your ideas onto paper.
• Once you have approved the drawings and estimates, it’s time to enter into a contract.
• After the contract is approved and signed, Van Con’s team of professionals will work with you and your financial institution to provide the necessary documents to finalize your financing.
• During this time the design team will prepare construction drawings to be reviewed by you and submitted for building permits.
• Once permits are received, construction will begin on your new home.

Build:

Throughout the construction process, Van Con’s team will be in communication with you to review the progress and discuss the details of your new home.

• At the pre-construction meeting, you will meet Van Con’s selections professional, who will assist you in selecting everything from flooring to bathroom fixtures.
• You will also meet the construction manager, who will coordinate and supervise all the subcontractors and suppliers to ensure that your project will be completed on time and on budget.

Warranty:

• Once your home is completed, you have the security of Van Con’s one-year warranty. Should you encounter any issues with your home, Van Con’s service department will be available to assist you.
