Design/BuildComplete Turn-key Church Design and ConstructionVan Con church clients often choose the Design/Build approach because is provides a single source for design, engineering, and construction. Our team works with your congregation every step of the process from analysis of your needs, through innovative design, to completed construction. Here are few additional reasons to consider the Design/Build approach:
“Design/Build” is the modern term used to describe the time-honored practice of hiring a Master Builder. Since ancient times, the Master Builder was solely responsible for both the design and construction of building projects. Today, the popular term "turn-key" is used to describe the comprehensive nature of the Design/Build process. Van Con enters into a single contract with church clients to fully program, design, price, and build the right facility to serve the current and future needs of each congregation. How is Design/Build different from hiring an architect?Design/Build involves one contract that covers your entire project. By contrast, when you hire an architect, you enter into a Design-Bid-Build process that involves multiple contracts: one with the architect and a separate contract with the low bidder for construction. If your congregation has already signed a design contract with an architect, we can still help. Please visit our General Contracting section to learn how to invite Van Con to bid on your project or to see how Negotiated Construction with Van Con provides your congregation with a highly competitive price, cost saving advice, and reduced administrative burden to the project. |
