Project: 7,800 square-foot church sanctuary with unusual brick chancel wall Process: Van Con General Contracting, The Doran Studio architects Accomplishments: Van Con worked closely with leading Midwest church architect, Robert Doran, to complete an extensive qualifying process that met all of the Catholic Archdiocese’s requirements. The distinctive brick chancel wall conveys the firm foundation of the church, and the cement board exterior fits attractively into the surrounding residential area. Adhering to a condensed schedule, Van Con ensured that church construction was completed in time for a dedication ceremony conducted by the Archbishop of Cincinnati. Sacred Heart’s Father Mike Bidwell has since chosen Van Con for additional church projects |
