Project: 17,000 square-foot building that accommodates a gymnasium, which can be converted to a multipurpose room to hold church gatherings.  The room includes a stage as well as a mezzanine for audio-visual equipment

Process: Van Con Design/Build

Accomplishments: The church’s goal was to provide as large a meeting place as possible for a very modest cost. Van Con pre-qualified church members as subcontractors to further stretch church funds. The building was designed with a high ceiling to accommodate church basketball games plus storage areas under the stage for tables and chairs that can be set up when the room is used for worship or for congregational gatherings. The building includes a commercial kitchen and an innovative fire suppression system utilizing an under-floor cistern with pump.
